What RoomChat does

RoomChat turns a room, flat or holiday let into a shareable web page, with no app and no account. A poster fills in a form at roomchat.io, proves their phone number by sending one WhatsApp message, and gets a link to share. A person looking for a place opens the link, answers the questions the poster chose, and messages the poster directly in their own app. RoomChat sends no messages: our WhatsApp number only receives, and anything sent to it other than a listing code gets no reply. The service is launching in Spain.

You can reach a person at RoomChat by email at hello@roomchat.io or by post to the address above. Messages are read and answered by a person, not by an automated system. This is our single point of contact for users under Article 12 of the Digital Services Act.

A problem with a listing, a lost private link, or a question about your data: either route will do. If your question is about a specific listing, include its link or share code.

Privacy and data requests

To access, correct, export or delete your data, email hello@roomchat.io and tell us the phone number on your listing, so we can find it. A poster can also delete their listing and its photos instantly with the Delete for good button on their private link. Seekers have nothing stored to delete. Reporting a listing

To report a listing that is illegal, fraudulent, discriminatory, or otherwise against the terms, email hello@roomchat.io with:

• the listing link or share code;
• what is wrong with it, and why you believe it is unlawful or breaks the terms;
• a way to reach you, so we can tell you what we decided;
• a statement that you believe in good faith that what you have told us is accurate and complete.

We review every report, act where the content breaks the terms or the law, and give the poster a statement of reasons for anything we remove or restrict.
